Arundel Castle
Arundel Castle is a restored and remodeled medieval castle, that was established by Roger de Montgomery on Christmas Day 1067. He became the first to hold the earldom of Arundel by the graces of William the Conqueror. The castle was damaged in the English Civil War and then restored in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is under the ownership of the Duke of Norfolk and has been the principal seat of the Norfolk family for over 400 years. It is a Grade I listed building.
The castle was reputedly haunted by a number of apparitions, which include a Blue Man in the library, a scullion in the kitchen and an 18th century girl at Hiorne's Tower.

It lies 49 miles from London, 18 miles west-northwest of Brighton and 10 miles east of the county town of Chichester.
